My name is Michal Jonák and I have been professionally teaching English language for past 9 years. I am formally educated in the Czech Republic (Univerzita Hradec Králové, Univerzita Karlova) as well as in Great Britain (University of Hull) and Australia (University of Melbourne). Through beginning in small language schools in Hradec Králové during my university studies I got to the environment of "professional teaching" on board of James Cook Language School based in Prague. I have been with this largest Czech language school focusing on company courses since 2009 and I have taught courses of general English as well as courses of business English in a range of large and medium-sized national and international companies. For example in companies in Karlovy Vary such as Jan Becher (www.becher.cz), Expobank CZ a.s. (www.expobank.cz) or in companies in Prague such as Colas CZ (www.colas.cz), Skype Czech Republic (www.skype.com), AXA Česká Republika (Life insurance company, investment company and pension company - www.axa.cz), Auto Kelly (www.autokelly.cz) or Ahold Česká Republic (Albert - www.albert.cz) and a myriad of others. I also led an e-learning blended learning course for many employees of Makro Cash & Carry ČR in Prague - Stodůlky (www.makro.cz).
Besides Business English I have also been teaching hospitality English and English for tourism industry for the past 5 years. From the renowned Karlovy Vary hotels where I have taught can be mentioned for example Imperial Hotel (4*), Dvořák Spa Hotel (4* Superior) and mainly 5* hotel Carlsbad Plaza (Eden Group), where I taught the longest. (5 years). I do translations in this area of English too (menus, magazine articles, reports etc.) On the basis of my formal education, I am also able to lead a courses in professional areas concerned with environmental protection, sustainability and sustainable solutions in industrial companies as well as state institutions (for example, I taught English in the State fund for the environment in Karlovy Vary). The last area of English I have been extensively concerned with in the past years is Aviation English, thus English for air transport. I have been training applicants for a job in this area as well as air traffic enthusiasts longing for flying abroad (and hence studying communication in English) for the past 2 years.
For growing demand in the past few months, I have hired several experienced lecturers for Autumn 2016 who are able to competently but amusingly lead our course. And in such a way that will bring both pleasant time learning the language and at the same time it will create challenging work environment in which you will achieve YOUR (or jointly set) goals.
